Representations of the Suffragette trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dq1adkVIxqU In the trailer for the suffragette at the beginning there is a mid shot of the women getting her child dressed and ready for the day whist her husband stands and watches, this shows that women have been represented as being housewives. This reinforces gender stereotypes because women are stereotypically expected to loo after the children when their husbands go off to work. This creates the ideology that women should stay at home and do what their husbands tells them to do. In the music video "dear future husband" it represents women as being quite dependent and needy of men this is shown through the audio code "tell me that I'm beautiful every night" and another which says audio code which says "buy me that ring" this suggests that women need the attention of men and want men to spend money and provide for them. This reinforces gender stereotypes as typically women are represesnted in the media like this. Creating the ideology that women are incapable of providing and making their selves happy.
