Straight Outta Compton task:  identify its target audience  ( mainstream/independent , age ,gender etc. ) based on the following ( budget, genre, plot, characters, narrative, production values , marketability, role of stars/director, visual appeal/style etc)  How the  film marketing has targeted its target audience  :  analyse the technical codes of the  trailer and poster  ( use of camera e.g closeups of star , editing , mis-en-scene, lighting and colour , sound and dialogue) target audience : the main target audience would be young black males as they could relate to the protagonist in the film. The audience would most likely be the fans of the rappers as this film came out in 2015 and this group came around in 1988 so the fans who listened to them win they first came around would probably be the audience that the film is being targeted at them  as they would want to learn more about the group who they used to follow. also this film would appeal to people who are fans of hip ho
GAMING HISTORY AND INDUSTRY Þ    The gaming industry is a modern industry with gets large profits. The audience changes over time and in different genres, another thing, which is constantly changing, is the technological side of things games are constantly being out-dated, as their updates are so frequent. Commonly games are made in to franchises so that they can release spin offs with out thinking of a completely new idea they already have their game, which already has an audience, where the spinoffs and sequels will automatically appeal to even if they are not much different than the original. An example of a franchise would be Mario which has many spin offs from it like Mario cart and Mario galaxy, Mario has multiple different games using the same recognisable characters in them. Þ    The gaming community are regulated by PEGI which is responsible of going over the content of the games to then give them a rating so the games which have more graphic violence
representations of age in the media   Age is represented in a number of ways in the media I will be looking at how the media represent young people i.e. teens and young adults. and I will also be looking at how the media represent older people meaning people aged 50 plus. I will be looking at the representation sin the trailer for the film "Dirty Grandpa".     In this trailer young people are shown to be represented as being reckless and carefree as there is a close up shot of Zac Effron smoking weed whilst at a party. This shows that the media views young people as not being very responsible and seem to not car very much about the law. This creates the ideology that young people should break the law and not take rules in to consideration. This is a quite negative representation of young people as not all young people take part and go to these parties and do get on with work and are responsible young adults. As this negative representation is reoccurring in the me

Dear Future Husband - Meghan Trainor

In the music video "dear future husband" it represents women as being quite dependent and needy of men this is shown through the audio code "tell me that I'm beautiful every night" and another which says audio code which says "buy me that ring" this suggests that women need the attention of men and want men to spend money and provide for them. This reinforces gender stereotypes as typically women are represesnted in the media like this. Creating the ideology that women are incapable of providing and making their selves happy. The Audience of predominantly women may feel quite angry that women have been represesnted in this way as it suggests that women just live off of their husbands and don't earn their own money. This is a quite regressive representation in today's media. Another way women have been represented would be as house wives. This can be seen through out the music video as the muse en scene shows Meghan Trainor wearing a red and w

Representations of the Suffragette trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dq1adkVIxqU In the trailer for the suffragette at the beginning there is a mid shot of the women getting her child dressed and ready for the day whist her husband stands and watches, this shows that women have been represented as being housewives. This reinforces gender stereotypes because women are stereotypically expected to loo after the children when their husbands go off to work. This creates the ideology that women should stay at home and do what their husbands tells them to do. A feminist audience member may feel quite outraged about this as they believe men and women are equal however as the film is set in the past and is all about women rights a feminist audience member may feel happy that this has made it to the cinema and really reflects how far society has come. In the trailer women has also been represented as being quite violent this is shown through a close up shot of a member of the suffr
