target audience : the main target audience would be young black males as they could relate to the protagonist in the film. The audience would most likely be the fans of the rappers as this film came out in 2015 and this group came around in 1988 so the fans who listened to them win they first came around would probably be the audience that the film is being targeted at them as they would want to learn more about the group who they used to follow. also this film would appeal to people who are fans of hip hop music and rap music.The film is a mainstream movie as it has been produced by a large production company - New Line Cinema. Also the biographical film is about already famous and well known people where as in a independent film it would more more unknown. also the film had a massive budget of $50 million.
